About Kozo Westies

Our Story

Our love for West Highland White Terriers started the moment our first Westie walked through our door over 20 years ago. That fearless, affectionate little dog changed everything, and we knew we wanted to share that experience with families across Canada and beyond.

What started as a passion became a calling. Today, Kozo Westies is a small, home-based breeding program in Ontario built entirely around one goal: raising Westies that are healthy, happy, and ready to thrive in their forever homes.

Our Philosophy

We Believe Breeding Is a Responsibility

We take that responsibility seriously. That means:

Health comes first. Both our sire and dam are health-tested for conditions common in the breed, including patella luxation and eye conditions. We don't cut corners.

Socialization starts early. Our puppies are raised inside our home, exposed to children, household sounds, other animals, and gentle human handling from day one.

We stay in your corner. When one of our puppies goes home with you, our relationship doesn't end there. We're always available for questions, advice, and support.

Transparency is non-negotiable. We welcome questions, vet references, and visits (when puppies are old enough). If a breeder isn't willing to answer your questions, that's a red flag, we're not that breeder.

Meet the Breeder

We are a husband and wife team that has raised our seven children on a spacious 24-acre hobby farm. We've been breeding Westies since 2005, and continue to be able to provide Westie puppies a quality start now that we have grandchildren to socialize them with.

We love the unique character and charm of the Westie and thoroughly enjoy raising the best of them for their future families across the globe!

We have sent our puppies to the east and west coast, as well as abroad to the Netherlands and beyond! Our puppies are sought after by those who recognize quality.
